Granbury, Texas, September 7th. Propell American LLC. has begun construction on a new state-of-the-art manufacturing complex on the recently purchased 84 acres on Glen Rose Hwy. When the 84 acres is converted out of agricultural, it will significantly increase the county property tax value. Over the last year, Propell has expanded its workforce by 83 employees. Additional growth is expected after the expansion completes in early 2019. The average weekly wage of a Propell employee exceeds the average weekly wage in Hood County. Propell proudly has Seventy-two percent of all employees living in Hood County.
Utilizing local contractors for the expansion project, Propell is constructing a 46,250 sqft Coatings Facility to add vertical integration of the processes locally. Also being built on site is an 8,900 sqft state-of-the-art Test Stand Facility to allow testing of main product lines before delivery. When this expansion project is complete Propell's total under-roof footprint in Granbury will sit at 109,000 sqft.
The Coatings Facility will be up to all county and state standards for emissions and material control. Following all TCEQ requirements, the expanded facility will have all necessary permits within state guidelines.
